Christmas, Sorted by Tadavite

Run the whole day from one place.

Everyone who's coming. Everything they're bringing. Every dish and when it goes in the oven. Who's driving Nan, who's staying over, who's paid for the ham. And a Secret Santa that draws itself. On your laptop or your phone, from one private page.

Your host page

Everything, on one page you can run the day from.

Who's coming to which gathering, with the kids and the dietary needs. What's been claimed and what still needs a hand. The menu, the shopping list, the costs, the Secret Santa. One link, one page, nothing to download. It works on your laptop at the kitchen bench and on your phone in the queue at the butcher.

  • Households reply once: adults, children, arrival times, allergies.
  • Bring a plate: guests take a dish, a drink or a job; you see the gaps.
  • Co-hosts: give your sister the page without giving her the costs.

On the day

A screen for the day itself.

Serving time at the top. Every dish with its start time and whether it's behind. Who has arrived, who's running late, who needs help. Guests tick their own dish off from their phone, so nobody has to ring you. Print it if the Wi-Fi dies.

  • The cooking plan places every timed step around your ovens, hobs and hands.
  • Lateness is worked out for you, not guessed.
  • Guests say "we've arrived" and "running late" from their reply page.

Your guests

They reply as a household, and only see their own.

No accounts. Each household answers once: who's coming to what, when they'll arrive, what they'll bring, what they can't eat. They get a private link to change it. Lifts and beds are offered and matched. Costs are split and each person sees only their share. Nobody, not even you, sees who drew whom in the Secret Santa.

  • Reminders the day before, if they asked for them.
  • Their dish and their jobs, with done and running-late buttons.
  • Their share of the costs, and nothing about anyone else's.

The planning tools

Nine jobs, switched on when you need them.

Every box is the real thing, captured from a host page on a phone.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself.

  1. Set up the eventPick a Christmas design, name your gatherings (Christmas Eve drinks, lunch, Boxing Day), and switch on the tools you want. US$19 for the invitation and US$29 for the tools, or US$48 for both in one go.
  2. Send one linkBy text, WhatsApp or email. Guests open the envelope, reply as a household, and get their own private page. No accounts, for them or for you.
  3. Run the dayWatch the replies, the dishes and the costs settle themselves. On the day, open the day screen and let it tell you what's next.

What it costs

Two things, two prices. Or both at once.

The invitation and the planning tools are separate purchases, because not everyone needs both. Buy the invitation on its own and unlock the tools later from your host page, or take the whole of Christmas in one payment when you set up the invitation.

The invitation

US$19 per event

The envelope your guests open, replies and dietary needs on one private page, and the one link you send. Every Christmas design.

The planning tools

+ US$29 per event

All nine tools above, for one event, for as long as it lasts. Switch on only the ones you need; the price is the same. Unlock them any time from your host page.

The whole of Christmas

US$48 one payment

Invitation plus every planning tool, paid together when you set up the invitation. The same US$19 and US$29, one checkout instead of two. Nothing else, ever.

Paid securely with Stripe. Prices in your currency where we set one; otherwise Australian dollars, charged in your currency at checkout. Guests never pay anything.

Questions, answered.

Is this an app?

It's a web page that works on any phone, tablet or laptop, nothing to install. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app, including a Today screen that keeps working when the signal drops.

Do my guests need an account?

No. They open the link, reply as a household, and get a private link back to change their answer. Only the Secret Santa asks for an email, so nobody can peek at someone else's draw.

Who can see what?

You and any co-host see replies, dishes, lifts and costs. Guests see only their own household, plus the one person they share a lift or a cost with. Nobody, including you, sees the Secret Santa pairings.

Does Tadavite handle the money?

No. Costs and settle-up work out who owes whom; the money moves between people the way it always has. We never hold bank details.

What if plans change?

Edit the details any time, the link stays the same. Guests who asked for updates are emailed; everyone else sees the change when they open the invitation.

Can I use it next year?

Yes. Set up next year copies the event with the gatherings, recipes, menu and the list of things to bring, a year on.

Christmas, sorted.

Set it up tonight. Send the link tomorrow. Enjoy the day.
