A Christmas romance Advent calendar

24 Days of Us

Some gifts are opened. Others are felt. Twenty-four private doors for the person you love, one each morning from 1 December: letters, memories, small dares, a date to choose and a song that is yours.

Try a door

These are real doors with our words in them. In yours, they say whatever you want them to.

Ten small folded ivory notes standing on deep red velvet, scattered with gold stars beneath an evergreen garland.

Ten Things I Adore

Tap each card. Take your time.

A card for every one of them. Turn them over one at a time.

The Perfect Evening

Build it. Then we live it.

Make one choice from each line. When you are done, your evening appears. I will take it from there.

The Love Letter

The long one.

Some things need room. Find a quiet corner for this one.

you, I have started this letter more than once. Every version tried to say too much, so here is the simple one. You are the best decision I never had to think about. You make the hard years lighter and the good ones brighter, and you do it without making a fuss, which is the most you thing of all. I love the life we are building: the routines, the in-jokes, the way you know what I need before I do. I love that we still have so much ahead of us. Thank you for every ordinary day. They are my favourite kind. All my love, me

Good to know

Is it private?

Yes. Only the person you send it to can open it, from their own private link, and only on the morning each door opens in their time zone. Nothing from inside a door is ever put in an email, and the doors are checked by our server, not by their phone's clock, so no door can be peeked at early.

What if I don't want to write anything?

You don't have to. Every door is already written, in warm and grown-up words, and works on its own. Change as many or as few as you like: a name, a message, a photo, a whole letter.

Can I add photos, voice messages and videos?

Classic takes up to 12 photos. Signature and Bespoke add voice messages and videos (as private YouTube or Vimeo links). Photos are cleaned of their hidden location data when you upload them, and are only ever shown to the person you send the calendar to.

What does the original song involve?

With Bespoke, people (not an instant generator) write and record an original song for the two of you after you pay. You can follow its progress from your calendar, and it appears behind the last door when it is ready.

When do the doors open?

Door 1 at midnight on 1 December in their time zone, then one a day until Christmas Eve. They stay open, so a missed morning is never lost. You can start later in December if you are giving it late.

How long is it kept?

The calendar keeps working until 31 March. Thirty days after that (or 30 days after you stop it) its words, photos and recordings are deleted for good. You can stop it at any time from your calendar page.

Is it accessible?

Every door works with a keyboard and a screen reader, photos carry descriptions, recordings can carry their words, and the opening animation stays still for anyone who has asked their device to reduce motion.
